In collaboration with the Gunjur Project and Girlguiding Cheshire Forest I have been fortunate enough to visit Gunjur in The Gambia on 4 separate occasions. During our visits I have led science workshops for the science and maths clubs at Gunjur Upper Basic School, Sifoe Secondary School, Jambur School and the Brikama Access to Nursing College. Donations of science equipment and resources have been made and I have established the Science Geek Scholarship to support the education of girls in Gambia with an interest in STEM careers. The money raised during the UK science sessions go towards supporting the Gunjur project.

Microscopes
LJMU have donated 45 microscopes for distribution to schools and colleges in Gambia. The @GGCFGambia team have been busy fundraising to pay for a shipping container to transport the microscopes over to Gambia.
