Are you insured? I have science presenter insurance and an enhanced DBS certificate.  All session are fully risk assessed. I am also a member of the out of school alliance.

How do I book a session?  Once a date has been agreed, I will send you a booking form to collect all the information I need.  A small deposit is also required to enable me to purchase some of the resources.  I will send you a booking confirmation, outlining the session and any special requirements.

How much does a session cost? A small charge is made per person to cover the cost of equipment, resources, travels costs within 20 miles of Widnes.  All monies raised goes towards my fundraising. 

Can you provide badges? Yes at an additional cost.  Please indicate the number required on the booking form.

Is there a minimum number of participants? A minimum of 10 participants are required.

Is there a maximum numbers? I regularly run sessions for 30+.  I can accommodate larger groups providing we have the support of leaders and additional helpers.

Are the sessions risk assessed? Yes, Laura has completed risk assessments for all the experiments.  These can be provided on request.

How long do the workshop last?  I can usually run a workshop within a typical 90 minute session providing I can gain access approximately 30 minutes before hand to set up the experiments.  Some workshops can take up to 30 minutes to pack away.  If we need to vacate the venue quickly after the end of the session, please contact me to discuss your requirements.

Can you run a weekend workshops? This may be possible depending upon my availability. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

Can you run a workshop at our sleepover / pack holiday / camp? This may be possible depending upon my availability, the venue and location. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

Can you run a leaders training workshops? This may be possible depending upon my availability. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

Session costs:  All costs include equipment, resources, travels costs within 20 miles of Widnes, make and take experiment resources and a small donation towards my fundraising.   Prices quoted are typically based upon 20 young people.  I donate my time and petrol for free :-)

Booking confirmation:  Booking confirmation will be sent once dates and session contents have been agreed.  I will contact leaders the week before the session to confirm final numbers.

Deposits: Bookings can be secured with a £20 non-refundable deposit.

Final Payments:  Cash or cheques (made payable to Dr. L. E. Randle) on the day of the session is fine.  Receipts will be provided.

Cancellations:  Should I ever need to postpone or cancel a session I will contact you as soon as possible to advise you and to discuss an alternative date for the session.  If you need to cancel or postpone a session  I would appreciate that you contact me at your earliest convenience.
